Windshield wipers are a necessary safety feature to any vehicle and over time, the blades of your PowerWiper can become less effective due to wear and tear and the sun. PowerWiper recommends replacing the wiper blades every 6 months to a year.
You may need to replace them more frequently than that if you tend to drive in a lot of really hazardous weather conditions. In fact, the heat and lack of moisture can damage the blades even if you never turn them on. Similarly, extremely cold weather can make the blades stiff and easily fractured.
PowerWiper refill blades are available for our line of PowerWipers. Many people prefer to replace the entire blade, as it is quicker and easier. By replacing the blade, you don't have to worry about the replacement refill not fitting your current blade.
We offer both graphite-coated and uncoated wiper blade refills.
How can you tell that you need new wipers? When wiper blades no longer make proper contact with the windshield surface, they can begin to squeak, chatter, skip, smear or streak reducing driving visibility. As soon as you notice a difference in driving visibility, you should replace your wiper blades.
The ice and snow in winter will damage regular wiper blades much faster than those manufactured to withstand cold temperatures and frozen windshields.
Your windshield wipers are essential for driving safely because they either improve or inhibit visibility. They’re one of the easiest parts of your car to maintain.
